This is an RS Germany translucent covered sugar in excellent condition with no cracks, or chips of any kind. There is only a slight wearing on the gold border, and on the floral pattern, apparent upon close inspection, and is the result of normal use and age.
According to my research, this was made between 1917 and 1945, and comes from the Reinhold Schlegelmilch porcelain factory in Tillowitz, Silesia. The RS Germany mark is in green on the bottom. The top is 3 1/2 inches in diameter, the bottom is 4 1/4 inches in diameter, and the sugar with lid is 5 inches at its highest. Including handles, the sugar is 5 1/2 inches at its widest.
