Basket stands absolutely straight

Fasteners on the handle are solid and perfectly intact

Some surface scratching from use on the inside bottom of the basket. The inside bottom also has a few tiny indentations, and one tiny dent--all of which are apparent only upon close examination. Handle is slightly bent. Otherwise, no bends, dents, or repairs.

Stamped with "sterling" and the Webster insignia of an arrow through WC on the bottom and on the inside of the handle

I do not know the basket's exact age but I believe it was made between 1900 and 1950. This is an excellent antique to display as part of your silver collection. It can also be used as a serving piece on the dinner table.

It is American-made by the Webster Company of Massachusetts established in 1869 and eventually purchased by Reed & Barton.
