• 5 1/8 X 5 1/8 inches, and 5/16 inches thick (a little more than 1/4")
• This is hand-painted. I have 5 similar similar tiles available although all are slightly different because these tiles were hand-painted. That is the reason I am listing 5 as quantity. You may buy one or up to 5.
• Good condition, given the age with normal surface crazing common to antique tiles
• Manganese colour
• Made in Holland in the 1880s, hand-painted
• No cracks, scratches, discolouration, or staining.
• No fading on the pattern
• White highlights in the photos are reflections only

This antique Dutch Delft tile was obviously originally on a wall in Holland. Dutch immigrants brought this and other tiles also listed to Canada in the early 1950s. They kept them lovingly and carefully wrapped in newspaper for over 50 years, and never had a chance to have their kitchen or fireplace tiled with them as they originally planned. This tile would be perfect as part of a fireplace surround or on a kitchen wall. I have other tiles available and am listing them separately because they are all different.
