About Norbridge Antiques

After a successful career with a global corporation, I established Norbridge Antiques in 2006.  I buy and sell antique and vintage decorative arts, and furniture through personal referrals, my online store, and my eBay store. I also accept assignments to hunt for particular pieces of furniture and objects.  I enjoy scouring antique shops and private collections to find objects that are beautiful, in excellent taste, and well made - the best of quality.  I have always treasured well-made objects of good and enduring design.

I grew up in Montreal, and had the opportunity of visiting some of the most beautifully designed houses in this city where the design influences are English and French.  I inherited my love of art from my father who had good taste and an appreciation for art and design.  Ever since I was a small child, my great passion has been to draw, paint, and read about art history and architecture.  While attending McGill University, I took extra oil painting classes at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts / Musée des beaux-arts.  I developed my own style which is now also embodied in my garden design.   

I moved to Toronto when I married a wonderful man whose family originated in Toronto.  We have lived there ever since, except for moving to Caracas for a year early in our marriage due to my husband’s career transfer.  When we returned, we raised two lovely children.  My experiences in Montreal, Caracas, and Toronto have educated me to enjoy the differences in cultures and individuals.
